Weekend Program-Pennsylvania Invasive Plants

Date: 06-Apr-2019

April 6th- Pennsylvania Invasive Plants @ 2:00

Join our DCNR Ranger Mariah Dunsmore here at the Elk Country Visitor Center as we discuss invasive species in Pennsylvania. Invasive species have a devastating effect on local ecosystem by out competing native plants. Learn how and why this occurs and what can be done to prevent more invasive species. Also learn about some invasive plants and insects in our area and how to identify them. After the presentation there will be a short hike of the grounds to look at some invasive plants growing on the property that we are working to control.
