Meet Benny!
The Elk Country Ambassador for KECA! Benny spends most of his time at the Elk Country Visitor Center but he may make an appearance at a show near you if the Keystone Elk Country Alliance is there!

Benny the Elk ambassador may not speak, but his message is conveyed at the Elk Country Visitor Center where the staff tells the story of wise land stewardship and being good friends of the land. While at The Center you can also learn about Benny's family history.

When you visit The Center, be sure to ask about buying your very own Benny Book! This fun filled activity guide is Benny's way of teaching children about conservation and wise land stewardship. When you complete your activity guide, be sure to bring it back and you will receive a certification stamp on the back of your book making you a Junior Elk Conservationist.

Here are a few photos of Benny in his natural environment.

This young lady was the first person to be named an official Junior Elk Conservationist! Congratulations and a high five from Benny!

Benny often makes appearances on the weekend to greet our visitors at the center. He looks forward to seeing you.

We have  reached over 20,000 individuals with our group/school programs. They are highly organized programs that have individualized sessions for kids. They are lots of fun and you will learn a lot too!

Benny likes to see everyone having fun when they visit Elk Country. Be sure to view elk safely while you visit and have fun exploring all the neat things inside The Center.

Benny has a lot of ground to cover teaching kids about Elk Country, nature and the habitat around the center. Sometimes he gets a ride on our special golf cart.
